[ World first ] Development of a Vehicle Utilizing Next-Generation Power Devices (Gallium Nitride – GaN)
The ALL GaN VEHICLE (AGV) is our pioneering concept model that leverages next-generation Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology to enhance electrification and drive forward low-carbon mobility. By replacing conventional silicon-based power device inverters, this advanced application delivers significant environmental benefits, achieving more than a 20% reduction in both overall vehicle power consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.
AGV System
The vehicle is equipped with in-wheel motors and GaN inverters located at the rear wheels as part of its propulsion system. It also includes GaN-based converters, onboard chargers, and laser high-beam lamps, all contributing to the realization of an energy-efficient electrical and electronic system.
Yogo Home & Mobility has been responsible for the development of vehicle planning, powertrain control systems including driving, braking, and steering, as well as charging systems, auxiliary equipment, wiring harnesses, and communication systems. We are committed to contributing to the creation of next-generation vehicles that support a low-carbon mobility society.
